Biography

Following graduation, Janet Lee Redmond began her career with Pacific Gas and Electric Company where she put her degree to work helping farmers and ranchers in the San Joaquin Valley of California improve the water and energy efficiency of their operations. She took a two-year leave of absence to complete a master’s in civil engineering from the University of Vermont in 2001, then joined PG&E’s Energy Efficiency organization where she held a number of positions before moving to a newly formed compliance department focusing on energy deregulation.

She has also served as executive speechwriter for the company’s president and CEO, as well as her current assignment as the human resources information systems manager. Redmond also holds a master’s degree in human resources and organizational development from the University of San Francisco.
